To qualify for Ladli Behna Yojana, the applicant must fulfill the following conditions:

• Must be a resident of Madhya Pradesh

• Married woman between 21 to 60 years (as of Jan 1, 2023)

• Widows, divorced and abandoned women are also eligible

• Annual family income should be less than ₹2.5 lakh

• Family should not own more than 5 acres of land

• No member of the family should be in a government job

• Family must not own a four-wheeler vehicle (excluding tractors)

• Must not receive ₹1,250 or more from any other government scheme

Who Are Not Eligible?

Women will be disqualified if:

• Anyone in the family pays income tax

• Family owns more than 5 acres of land

• Any member is a government employee or pensioner

• Family owns a car or other four-wheeler (excluding tractor)

• Beneficiary or her family is a MP/MLA, or member of government boards

• Receiving ₹1,250 or more per month from any other scheme

Total Assistance Given (2023–2025)

So far, from June 2023 to May 2025, the government has successfully transferred 24 monthly installments, helping women receive over ₹28,000 crore in aid. Apart from the regular payments, special bonuses of ₹250 were also given twice in August 2023 and August 2024.
